The online drugstore “Apothecary” was designed and built during 2020, the year of the Covid-19 virus pandemic, while the promotion and commissioning took place at the beginning of October.
Vladimir Suvodolac, the leader of the team that designed this website, says that the main “guide” was the simplicity and ease of use of the site, as well as a minimalistic approach to the display of all the necessary elements that provide visitors and customers with all the necessary information.
– Our main goal was to set up a high-quality design of the entire site that we made clean and tidy. A website which needs to be informative and where products are available in one or two clicks away, and at the same time to enable product brands to be seen and recognized. Apothecary was created at the beginning of 2020 when the branding agency Foster + Svensson created an e-commerce and communication platform, which was recognized by the leading pharmaceutical companies in Serbia, both manufacturers and pharmacies. We realized that our platform is significantly different from others and that we can freely present it as independent, ie. to be not just an e-commerce product off the shelf, but to really be an operational site. That’s how we created Apothecary. From an idea, to a real operating company. Apotecary is an Internet store that is visibly rigorous within its own brand, subtly disciplined in communication between other brands and aligned with the guidelines necessary as an obligation for all manufacturers and the drugstore as a whole. In addition, we wanted the product information to be comprehensive and relevant to customers, just like the product search, which is intelligent so that customers can find tthe products they like in a very short time.
Created by Foster + Svensson
– Created by the branding agency Foster + Svensson as a case study of e-commerce with an emphasis on clean, innovative and digital contemporary design, Apothecary has evolved from a purely conceptual design to a fully operational online drugstore focused on offering premium products for a better life. We want to change and enrich our market with new products. At the same time, we want to present quality products in a different way, different from the way that is common on the market. That’s why everyone at Apothecary online drug store is dedicated to strict discipline and fine details. We do not make compromises and if the product or material does not meet our criteria and standards, then such product will not be offered on the Apothecary website. Everything must be simple, clean and precise. Every moment spent on the site encourages the customer for further product search and shows how design can be a place to express creativity, even within online sales. In this way, we created Apothecary Internet drugstore where we would like to shop and come back again, says Vladimir Suvodolac from the branding agency “Foster + Svensson”.
The Apothecary website is the only one from Serbia and our region that has been nominated for this prestigious award given by Creativepool. The voting of the audience and the jury lasts until July 23, while the award ceremony will be organized on September 9, 2021.
