Electrolux Group wins Red Dot: Best of the Best for product design

Electrolux Group (STO: ELUX-B) has picked up five Red Dot design awards this year for outstanding product design. The SaphirMatt, a matt black glass induction hob, received the top recognition Red Dot: Best of the Best for its innovative scratch-resistant matt glass.

The Red Dot: Best of the Best is awarded for groundbreaking design and is the highest distinction in the Red Dot Award: Product Design category. In addition to the Best of the Best award, Electrolux Group received four more prestigious Red Dot awards for products designed to improve the lives of consumers in the home.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most sought-after design accolades in the world. This year’s winners were chosen by an expert jury and the winning products will be presented at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany and online at www.red-dot.org.

The SaphirMatt glass finish for cooking hobs boasts superior cleanability and resistance to scratches and fingerprints, but its frosted surface is also replete with visual and tactile appeal.
